Herb Klein These three images of Quentin Crisp grocery shopping are delicious to see. As he boasted many times to the public audience, Mr. Crisp never shopped for anything — or so he professed to those who would listen. However, to the friends who knew him well, it was a known fact that Mr. Crisp shopped regularly, especially for food in various East Village shops and even dropping off his wash at the local launderette. Mr. Klein has documented this fact for us all to see and believe! Mr. Crisp was just as human as the rest of us! To quote Quentin Crisp, "Isn't that wonderful!"
